TOM KATANCIK, Director of Golf

Now entering his 10^th season as Director of Golf, Tom began his career at Toftrees in 1994. Before coming back to Toftrees, he spent time in both Florida and Arizona, as an assistant professional where he studied the teaching philosophies of top Golf Digest and John Jacobs instructors. Tom has excelled in group and junior instruction, and his services are available to members and the public for private lessons by appointment. Also, Tom is a certified club fitter for Titleist & Cobra golf equipment.

GREG GASPERICH, Head Golf Professional

Greg is starting his 10^th season at Toftrees, after nine seasons at Penn State Golf Courses. While at Penn State, he was an instructor for the Penn State Sport Camps and the Philadelphia PGA Jr. Academies. He also conducted numerous adult clinics, weekend golf schools, and individual instruction. Also, Greg is a certified club fitter for Cobra & Titleist golf equipment.

MARY KENNEDY-ZIERKE

Mary Kennedy-Zierke is a golf specialist and teacher. She has been teaching and coaching the game for the past 30 years. As the former Penn State Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach from 1981-1992, Mary also administered LPGA teaching and golf coaching seminars throughout the United States. She has taken the time to learn from the best players and teachers of the world. Her unique teaching methodology consists of evaluating the golfer’s own learning style and behaviors; as well as working with trained therapists to evaluate body type, level of balance and coordination; and determining any different mental and physical capabilities the golfer may have.

Mary uses simple techniques to improve players of all ages and skill levels in an efficient and safe manner. Her mission as a teacher and coach is to enhance the personal swing of a player without making dramatic changes. She makes certain that the student has a thorough understanding of his/her own swing technique and ability so that personal golf goals can be readily achieved.

Computerized Swing Analysis

Toftrees Golf Club offers state-of-the-art computerized swing analysis. After capturing the full motion of your golf swing using a digital video camera, the exact geometry of your swing is analyzed in depth by the computer software system that identifies specific areas in which you can improve. Golfers gain a new understanding of their swing, and report dramatic improvement in their overall game using this valuable resource under the guidance of a Toftrees PGA Professional.
